Applied Information Technology, M.Sc.

The Master Program of Applied Information Technology aims at qualified Bachelor graduates of Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field of study.

This study program consists of lectures comprising Electrical Engineering as well as Business Administration involving some practical training during laboratory hours to improve the student’s ability to validate their own research results. Each student can choose individually whether to take the exam in English or in German. Lectures are held  either in German or in English depending on the individual course. 


Final degree: Master of Science, M.Sc.
Designated period of study: 3 semesters
Start of the master program: Every semester
Generally Bachelor graduates of Electrical Engineering (excluding ISE-graduates) can start their study in the summer semester or in the winter semester. ISE-graduates can start their study program in winter semesters only. All other students are recommended to start their study program during the summer semester.
Form of study: Studying full-time with local support
Formal prerequisites: To be qualified  for admission to this Master's degree program you need a Bachelor degree (210 ECTS) in Electrical Engineering with a grade point average of 3.0 or better. If you have a Bachelor degree (180 ECTS) in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent first academic degree from a different  university with a grade point average of 3.0 or better a student may be admitted with obligations.
